Can/Will Fly Further
Current narrowbody aircraft are flying further than ever before, future engines and architectures are expected to increase range even further.
The forward galley is split into two halves. For short-medium haul flights, the galley operates as normal.
The starboard half of the galley transforms on-demand into a Class-1 crew rest station.
The other half continues to operate as a galley, ensuring minimal compromise to passenger service.
A fully reclining jump seat affords maximum crew comfort, while being able to neatly fold away for the galley carts.
Next to the seat is a storage drawer with a built-in reading light, wall socket, wireless charging pad, ventilation, seat controls and a cup holder.
AN ISOLATED YET SPACIOUS CREW REST FOR ENTERTAINMENT, RELAXATION & REJUVENATION
Acoustic insulation + storage cabinets
The enlarged monument houses a folding bed, additional storage spaces, emergency supplies and a display for inflight entertainment and communications.
Diffused light strip around exit
Folding bed w/ built-in LCD display & tray table
Once unlatched, the LCD display folds out of the monument to reveal a large tray table.
Sound blanket partition w/ magnetic latch
Tray table w/ anti-slip silicone
The tray table unfolds further to reveal a single bed.
By designing the seat and bed as separate independent components, I am able to maximize rest quality with minimal compromises.
